Ways to practice mindfulness throughout the day

Practicing mindfulness gives several benefits to our inner being and to our life. It helps us transform ourselves for goodness; eliminates negative attributes like frustration, anger, irritation which is the major cause of various problems in our personal and professional life. It helps us stay calm, aware of our emotions, help us establish a stronger bond with our inner being, promotes trust in ourselves and others and makes us more sociable.

 

Let’s dig into few amazing ways to practice to stay mindful throughout your day

 

  • While being with your friend, co-workers or Spouse: In many of the arguments the two or more persons just put forwards their opinions and beliefs, which cause frustration on both side of parties and the arguments becomes worse without any final conclusion. Hence, now whenever you find yourself ending a conversation like this, be more attentive towards the person what he/she is saying, what’s the idea behind his/her thought, before putting your point forwards, make an effort to fully listen to the other person, and then react honestly and state your point.

 

Transformation in you: You will develop more patience in you and become a better listener and understanding person.

 

  • While experiencing a physical pain or a negative emotion: Whenever we encounter emotional misbalances or physical pain, all we want is to get rid of that as quickly as possible, whether by suppressing our emotions or taking painkillers for physical pains. Mindfulness requires acceptance and allowance to let the pain or emotions flow out gradually. So the next time when you feel physical or emotional pain, accept you present mental or physical state rather suppressing it, and it will flow out gradually.

 

Transformation in you: It will help you become stronger physically and emotionally to accept the challenges and fight with them, moreover you’ll conquer the fear and come out you comfort zone, which will better your immune system and help you throughout the suppressed emotions.   • At Workplace:  Give yourself a break of 2 minutes after every one hour while working and focus on your breath. By being aware of your breath, you make your body feel your awareness and give you tremendous energy and freshness.

  • While having your food: While having food, we often not are so conscious, due to our busy schedules at workplaces. We just shovel the food into our mouth, rarely enjoying the taste of food. We must understand that after all, why are we all earning and doing hard work? For food, isn’t it? So next time when you’ll have food, make sure you eat slowly having the taste of each bite and appreciating how it fuels your body and gives you good health.

 

Transformation in you: The more happily you eat food, the more you are aware of each bite of your food you are taking; the more you’ll get relaxing mealtime and healthier your food choices will become.

 

  • During workout: When your temperature rises, body sweats and breathing becomes labored and pain or fatigue set in, you become more familiar with your body limits and strengthen your physical body.

 

Transformation in you: By being aware of your movements, breathing and pain workout, you become aware of your physical boundaries and gently push them away in order to attain more healthy body.

 

  • Mindfulness can be practiced anytime in a day: Try to do things slowly being aware of each and every moment. By doing something slowly, you diminish your stress level, build patience and produce more satisfying results while allowing yourself to appreciate things that don’t offer immediate gratification.
